KIA SALES IN EUROPE LEAP 128% DURING NOVEMBER
Kia sales in Europe during November reached new record-high levels for that month, with a total of 19,462 vehicles delivered - an incredible 128% higher than sales in November 2003 - in what is often regarded as a ´quiet´ month for new car sales. This latest record result pushes Kia´s year-to-date accumulated sales for 11 months to 161,825 units, 46% higher than sales over the same period last year - maintaining Kia´s position as Europe´s fastest growing automotive brand.

KIA SETS NEW EXPORT RECORDS IN OCTOBER
Kia Motors Corporation (KMC) announced today that its exports of completed vehicles during October rose by 26.8% year-on-year to 72,727 units - establishing a new all-time monthly export record. Responding particularly to ever higher customer demand in Europe and North America, global exports for the first 10 months of 2004 climbed 41% to 588,694 units, compared to 417,548 last year.

ALL TIME HIGH RECORD SALES FOR KIA
Kia achieved all-time high record sales in Europe during the month of September, with a total of 20,048 cars delivered to customers across the region. It is the first time that Kia´s monthly sales have exceed 20,000 units and represent a 59% rise over sales in September 2003.

ALL-TIME RECORD KIA EXPORTS TO EUROPE
Kia´s exports to Europe in the first half of 2004 have reached an all-time high, jumping by 49% to a record 112,787 passenger cars and light trucks. This remarkable performance is the result of numerous factors, including the launches of the new A-Segment Picanto small car and the new Cerato (C-Segment) models, the recruiting of new dealers (up 200 over last year), increased local marketing initiatives and the announcement that Kia will manufacture cars in Slovakia from 2006, at its first-ever European facility.

KIA´s POPULAR RIO SEDAN TO BE ASSEMBLED AND SOLD IN IRAN
Kia Motors Corporation has announced that its popular Rio sedan will be assembled and marketed in Iran from early 2005. Under the new agreement between Kia and its Iranian partner, Saipa Corporation, 100,000 Rio SF sedans will be assembled locally from component kits supplied by Kia from Korea.

KIA TO BUILD SECOND PLANT IN CHINA
The Kia Motors Corporation has announced that it will build a second vehicle assembly plant in China´s Jiangsu province at a total cost of €545 million. Revealing its plans at an official signing ceremony attended by top company executives and Chinese officials in Nanjing today (Thursday), Kia stated that the new plant will have an annual capacity of 300,000 vehicles and will be ready for production by 2006. The decision to build another plant is intended to give Kia a stronger presence in China and position the company to claim a much higher share of the rapidly expanding Chinese market.

STRONG SALES IN EUROPE BOOST KIA RESULTS
The Kia Motors Corporation has revealed its sales, exports and financial results for the period covering the first three months of 2004. Thanks largely to increased export sales of higher-specification vehicles like the Sorento SUV and Opirus luxury sedan, net profits rose by 17.9% to 166.9 billion Won (€119.8 million), as the value of Kia´s first-quarter sales climbed 12.5% compared to 2003 - reaching 3.38 trillion Won (€2.42 billion).

KIA BREAKS GROUND ON ITS FIRST EUROPEAN AUTO PLANT
Kia Motors Corporation (KMC) today held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction for its new €1 billion manufacturing plant in Zilina, Slovakia. In attendance were executives from Kia Motors, K.J. Yoon, President of Kia Motors, H.Y. Choi, President of the Strategy Coordi-nation Office, and J.I. Park, Chairman of Hyundai Mobis. Attending for the Slovak Republic were Mr. Pavol Hrušovský, Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and Mr. Pavol Rusko, Vice-Premier and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, as well as many other dignitaries.

KIA SETS THREE NEW RECORDS IN MARCH
Kia Motors Corporation has set all-time monthly records for export shipments and export sales in March, shipping 67,654 vehicles and recording 52,806 retail sales outside Korea during the month. In Europe, Kia recorded its ´best-ever´ month in March delivering a total of 14,128 vehicles.

KIA EUROPE HEADQUARTERS TO RELOCATE TO A NEW AND LARGER BUILDING
The decision to relocate the Frankfurt Headquarters to a superior facility was based upon the need to create a headquarters that can properly
manage the rapid growth of Kia Motors Europe. The expanded facility further establishes Kia´s European presence as it will be able to provide support to European distributors and to the new Slovakian plant. The time and location of the move has yet to be determined.

KIA SIGNS SLOVAKIAN INVESTMENT AGREEMENT
Kia Motors Corporation held a signing ceremony at the central government building in Bratislava, Slovakia on 17 March, to officially authorise the construction of Kia´s new €1 billion automotive manufacturing and assembly plant in the Slovak Republic. Signatories to the Investment Agreement were Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group Chairman and CEO Mong-Koo Chung and Slovakian Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda.

KIA TO SIGN SLOVAKIAN PLANT AGREEMENT
Kia Motors Corporation will hold a signing ceremony on 17 March in Bratislava, Slovakia to officially authorize the construction of its new €700 million automotive assembly plant. The major new car manufacturing facility in Europe, which will be owned and operated by Kia, will begin production of high-volume Kia models in late 2006 and produce up to 200,000 Kia cars annually at maximum capacity.

Kia Motors has reached an agreement with the International Tennis Federation (ITF), owners and organizers of Davis Cup by BNP Paribas, to reinforce the company´s existing sponsorship.
Kia Motors began sponsoring Davis Cup - the world´s largest annual international team competition in sport - in 2003. The original agreement covered ties in the Europe-Africa zones.
